Bounce House Birthday Party

Our morning was spent running errands in preparation for Max's 5th birthday on Monday and for his upcoming party.  We had a wonderful afternoon at our buddy, Anthony's birthday party.  Anthony was born only 10 days before Max.  He and Max have become close buddy's through school.  Nico is best buddy's with Anthony's little brother, Daniel, who is only 2 months younger than Nico.  Our family and theirs have become good friends.  We really cherish the friendship that has grown because of our children.

The four kids enjoying refreshments at the party.
Yummy pizza, juice, and chocolate cake was served.

We gave Anthony an Iron Man pillow for his new Avengers bedroom

Belle and Papa as "Thor"

Belle didn't know what to think
when she saw"Captain America Mama"

The kids got to jump in tons of bounce houses with lots of cool slides and themes.  Nico's favorite was Batman, while Max claims his favorite was "the one I got stuck in the last time".  Apparently the last time we were at this location, Max got stuck in a bounce house and couldn't get out until his Papa came to his rescue.  Belle enjoyed the Sesame Street bounce house as well as the baby play area.  Her favorite toy was a table with colorful gears.  She loved to spin them!  Anthony's party theme was "Avengers".  He is definitely my kind of guy!  I've always loved superheros and I'm anxiously awaiting my boys to get into them a little more.  At this point Nico really loves Batman and Max likes Superman, so I'm hoping the Marvel comics get picked up in interest soon too!  Thanks to Anthony and his party invitation, Fernando and I have been on a Marvel comics movie kick.  Last night was Captain America and tonight is going to be Iron Man.  Love our "Superhero, Nachos, and beer" date nights in!  At the party we all enjoyed burning off some energy climbing around and having some "jump for fun".  The kids (and in our case, big kids too) received some "super cool" superhero masks.  They had a blast putting those on!  Max wanted to be Iron Man, Nico was Captain America.  Fernando was Thor, and Belle and I took turns putting on Nico's Captain America mask.
Thor drove us home.  It wasn't until we were almost
there that he realized he hadn't been wearing the hat
exactly right.  He's missing the side "wings"!
